Equipment:
Bread Pan, Cutting Board, Knife, Spoon, Small Bowl, Measuring Spoons
Ingredients:
Apple – 1 (I recommend Macoun)
Coconut Oil – 3 Tablespoons
Old Fashion Rolled Oats – 2 Tablespoons
Almond Flour – 2 Tablespoons
Brown Sugar – 1 1/2 Tablespoons
Chopped Walnuts – 1 Tablespoon
Cardamom – 1/8 Teaspoon
Ginger – 1/8 Teaspoon
Cinnamon – 1/8 Teaspoon
Sea Salt – 2 Twists
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Slice apple in half from top to bottom.
- Scoop about a spoon full of the inside (including the seeds) to make a small cavity.
- Coat the the apple in about 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl mix oats, almond flour, brown sugar, walnuts, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. I used my hands to make it into a crumble.
- Once the apple has baked for 10 minutes, take it out of the oven and fill the apple crevice with the crumble mixture.
- Top each side of the apple with about half a tablespoon of coconut oil.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, uncovered.
- Let cool and serve with vanilla ice cream! You will not be disappointed.
