Baked Apple

Bread Pan, Cutting Board, Knife, Spoon, Small Bowl, Measuring Spoons

    Apple – 1 (I recommend Macoun)
    Coconut Oil – 3 Tablespoons
Old Fashion Rolled Oats – 2 Tablespoons
    Almond Flour – 2 Tablespoons
    Brown Sugar – 1 1/2 Tablespoons
    Chopped Walnuts – 1 Tablespoon
    Cardamom – 1/8 Teaspoon
    Ginger – 1/8 Teaspoon
    Cinnamon – 1/8 Teaspoon
    Sea Salt – 2 Twists

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
    2. Slice apple in half from top to bottom.
    3. Scoop about a spoon full of the inside (including the seeds) to make a small cavity.
    4. Coat the the apple in about 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
    5. In a small bowl mix oats, almond flour, brown sugar, walnuts, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. I used my hands to make it into a crumble.
    6. Once the apple has baked for 10 minutes, take it out of the oven and fill the apple crevice with the crumble mixture.
    7. Top each side of the apple with about half a tablespoon of coconut oil.
    8. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, uncovered.
    9. Let cool and serve with vanilla ice cream! You will not be disappointed.
