Honey Oat Bread


    2 Mixing Bowls, Spoon, Fork or Hand Mixer, 9×5 Inch Bread Pan, Measuring Cups, Measuring Spoons


    Flour – 1 1/3 Cups
    Baking Powder – 2 1/4 Teaspoons
    Baking Soda – 1/4 Teaspoon
    Salt – 1 1/4 Teaspoons
    Yogurt – 1 Cup (I used vanilla banana but any non-greek yogurt works)
    Egg – 1
    Vegetable Oil – 1/4 Cup
    Honey – 1/4 Cup + 1 Tablespoon
    Old Fashion Rolled Oats – 1 Cup + 2 Tablespoons
    Oat Milk – 3/4 Cup
    Cooking Spray or Butter – Enough to coat a bread pan


    1. Grease bread pan with cooking spray or butter.
    2. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of oats and tip the pan to coat all sides.
    3. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt to a mixing bowl and mix with a spoon (don’t over-mix).
    4. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
    5. In a separate bowl, use the hand mixer on low and beat yogurt, egg, oil, honey and 1 cup of oats until well combined.
    6. Once mixed, stir in milk (with hand mixer on low).
    7. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and stir with a spoon.
    8. Pour batter into bread pan making sure to spread the batter to all the edges of the pan.
    9. Bake the loaf for about 40 minutes, until the top is slightly browned and a toothpick comes out of the loaf clean.
    10. Once done baking, brush the top of the loaf with honey and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of oats.
    11. Enjoy with avocado toast, chicken salad or butter!
