McGriddle

    Equipment:

Cookie Sheet, Plate, Paper Towels, Bowl, Spoon, Measuring Cups, Measuring Spoons, Frying Pan, Spatula

    Ingredients:

Bacon – You only need 1 1/2 pieces per McGriddle but you can save the rest for later
    Flour – 1/2 Cup + a little
    Sugar – 1 Tablespoon
    Baking Powder – 1 Teaspoon
    Salt – 1/4 Teaspoon
Buttermilk or any milk you have in the fridge – 1/2 Cup
    Vegetable Oil – 1 1/2 Tablespoons
Egg – 1/2 for pancake batter + 1 for the sandwich
Maple Syrup – 1/2 Teaspoon for pancake batter + drizzled on top of sandwich
    American Cheese – 1 Slice

*This recipe makes about 6 pancakes.

    Directions:

    1. Turn the oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Put bacon on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy.
    3. Have a paper towel covered plate ready. Once bacon is done transfer it to the plate and dab the grease off.
    4. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg and maple syrup.
    5. Turn stove on to medium heat and heat up frying pan.
    6. Add bacon grease to frying pan and pour about 3 tablespoon of pancake batter per cake.
    7. Cook each side of the pancake for about 2 minutes (when the cakes start to bubble and pop flip to the other side.)
    8. Set the pancakes aside.
    9. Add more bacon grease to frying pan and cook up an egg.
    10. Place American cheese on top of the egg after it has been flipped.
    11. Once the cheese is melted layer the egg on the pancake, add the bacon, place the other pancake on top and drizzle with maple syrup!
