Equipment:
Bowl, Spoon, Measuring Cups, Measuring Spoons, Rolling Mat or Flat Surface, Rolling Pin, Baking sheet or Pizza Stone
Ingredients:
Instant Dry Yeast – 1/2 Packet or 1 1/8 Teaspoons
Flour – 1 3/4 – 2 Cups
Salt – 1 Teaspoon
Sugar – 1/2 Teaspoon
Warm Water – 3/4 Cup
Olive Oil – 1 Tablespoon + 1 Teaspoon
*This is Bobby Flay’s recipe, I just halved it.
Directions:
- Mix flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a bowl.
- Gradually add in water while you mix the batter.
- Add olive oil to the batter.
- Knead dough into a ball until the mixture is no longer sticky (adjust with flower or water depending on texture.)
- Grease bowl with about a teaspoon of olive oil, add the dough and cover with plastic wrap.
- Let the dough sit for at least an hour, the dough should double in size.
- Lightly flower a flat surface and roll the dough out with a rolling pin.
- Put a very small amount of olive oil and flour onto a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Add the dough to the baking sheet and top with your favorite pizza ingredients.
