Sweet Potato Fries

Cutting Board, Knife, Small Bowl, Spoon, Cast Iron Pan/Frying Pan, Cookie Sheet, Large Plate, Paper Towels

    Sweet Potato – 1
    Smoked Paprika – 1 Tablespoon
    Garlic Salt – 1 Tablespoon
    Onion Powder – 1/2 Tablespoon
    Pepper – 1/2 Tablespoon
    Olive Oil – 1 Teaspoon
Vegetable Oil – About 1/2 Cup (enough to fill the bottom of the pan)

    1. Cut the sweet potato into fries that are 1/2 inch to 1/3 of an inch thick.
    2. Mix the paprika, garlic salt, onion powder and pepper in a small bowl.
    3. If you are going to bake the fries preheat the oven to 400 degrees. If not go to step 7.
    4. Place the fries on a cookie sheet and coat with olive oil and seasoning.
    5. Bake for 15 minutes on one side and flip the fries and bake for another 10 minutes.
    6. Let cook and enjoy!
    7. Put vegetable oil into a cast iron skillet or frying pan to heat up.
    8. Check to see if the oil is hot enough by placing a small piece of potato into the oil and if it bubbles the oil is ready.
    9. Add the fries to the oil and cook on each side for 3 minutes. Use the F.D.F.D.S. (fry, dry, fry, fry, season) method only frying the second time for 1 minute on each side so they don’t burn.
    10. Once you have dried the sweet potato fries add the seasoning.
    11. Let cool and enjoy!
